Canadian jazz pianist born 1980 in Vancouver, based in New York. Davis studied classical piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music and got the Bachelor at the University of Toronto. 1997 and 2000 she visited the Jazz-Programm of the Banff Centre for the Arts, with Tony Malaby. In 2006 she studied with Benoît Delbecq in Paris. She was named 2017 Rising Star Pianist/2018 Rising Star Artist in Downbeat magazine and dubbed one of the music’s top up-and-comers in a 2012 New York Times article titled “New Pilots at the Keyboard,”. She teaches at the Maine Jazz Camp and at the Queens College. Davis works as a collaborator and side person with artists such as John Zorn, Ingrid Jensen, Terri Lyne Carrington, Craig Taborn, Chris Speed, Tyshawn Sorey, Eric Revis, Michael Formanek, Tony Malaby, Ingrid Laubrock, Julian Lage, Mary Halvorson and Tom Rainey.
