Ad Nauseam

Ad Nauseam (listed under the abbreviation ADN on two remixes), is a Melbourne-based electronic dance music project that was formed in mid-2003, and subsequently stopped in late 2024 due to creative differences, with each artist now returning to produce and DJ under their previous respective aliases and also under new separate projects. The now defunct duo, comprised of Ben Sanders Ellis and DJ Hellraiser, were known for their unique blend of hard-hitting, dark-edged, and energetic style of hard trance, hard acid techno, and hard techno. Ad Nauseam released several tracks on renowned labels such as Tension Music and Überduck Records' sub-label Schalldruck Records. Their discography includes hits like The The House Of 1000 Corpses, The Outer Limits 2020, Fear Unknown, and their final release Rave System EP. In addition, the duo collaborated with Dutch artist and Flatlife Records label owner Jack Wax on the track Dissonant Realms and released the fast-paced, driving, 90's rave-inspired hard acid techno track Better Living Through Chemistry on the second We Are Acid Family release from the Flatlife Records & Stay Up Forever Records collaborative label of the same name, We Are Acid Family.

The duo is also well-known for their remixes of tracks like Illiya Korniyekno's Gumball 3000 on the label Disrupt The Surge and the Flatlife Records remix EP of the 1993 underground acid hit Theme Of Roarr by Alici, initially released on the now-defunct Brooklyn, New York-based label Direct Drive Records. ADN's hard, driving, acid-fueled techno remix of the hit track The Twilight Zone (initially released in 1999 as Megamind - Taub) for the prolific Italian DJ and artist Mauro Picotto on his label Alchemy Records is something the duo is quite proud of, with them citing the original release Taub as one of the primary inspirations for them as producers.

Ad Nauseam's unique sound and style garnered support from well-known artists globally as well as a fan base both in Australia and abroad. Overall, the duo's dedication to keeping their sound unique with a willingness to push boundaries in their music made them grow rapidly and gain a decent-sized fan base as well as earn respect as an artist in the electronic music scene. Unfortunately, they stopped working together as the duo Ad Nauseam aka ADN as both producers and DJs in late 2024, with them each both going their own respective ways and return to producing and DJing under their previous solo aliases, with their final release Rave System EP, coming out on Flatlife Records in March 2025. They will also begin new projects and collaborative productions separately later in 2025.
