Lee Spencer (born Lee Alan Spencer-Todd in 1963) is an accomplished English electronic musician, music theorist, and record producer, renowned for his ambient new age project Cavewaves, spanning a staggering 20 albums.

Born in Emsworth, Hampshire, England, Lee Spencer's musical journey began at the tender age of 12, exploring the intricacies of keyboards and soon immersing himself in local bands. The 1980s marked his relocation to London, where he embarked on a flourishing career as a session musician, collaborating with an array of notable artists, including Beth Orton, William Orbit, The Dub Pistols, Monkey Mafia, Johnny Marr (formerly of The Smiths), and Michael Brook.

In 1992, Lee Spencer unveiled his groundbreaking solo album, Cavewaves, captivating audiences and critics alike. This remarkable piece established Lee as a prominent figure in the ambient music scene, paving the way for a series of subsequent Cavewaves albums that continue to mesmerize listeners. Alongside his Cavewaves project, Lee Spencer has embarked on various solo endeavors, showcasing his versatility and creativity.

Lee Spencer's musical prowess extends beyond his own compositions, as he holds expertise in music theory and record production. His contributions to the music industry have earned him widespread recognition and respect. Currently residing in Australia, Lee Spencer remains an active force in the world of music, continuously creating and performing.
