Based in Montréal, the Handclaps started with friends Hugo Clermont, Lorraine Muller and Daniel Saucier.

With later collaborations with artists such as Stuart Zender (ex-Jamiroquai), Ivan Doroschuk (Men Without Hats), James Di Salvio (Bran Van 3000), Gus van Go & Werner F, and Sunny Duval Poirier that they finally found some success with advertising agencies and film.
