Ariane Mummert was a participant and drummer in the Nelson Project (an artistic commune which Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd, and Frank Mertens also belonged to), a member of Chinchilla Green (a pre-Alphaville band in which Marian Gold was also a member). Together with community members Julia and Stefanie, she formed the girl band Girls Next Door.
She was a girlfriend of Marian Gold at the time. She also co-produced Alphaville's Songlines movie with Rose-Marie Couture. Later also manager for the band.

In 2012, she organized a festival at Bahnhof Biesenthal where Marian Gold performed with Sputnik Roadhouse.
