Paul de Barros is an American jazz critic and author based in Seattle since 1979. He moved there from California and was most likely born in the 1940s. A longtime writer for the The Seattle Times, he has published in Downbeat jazz magazine as well. He also wrote the biography of Marian McPartland and a book about the roots of jazz in Seattle.
