Tammorra is a Sicilian band founded in 1992 in Palermo. The five musicians interpret the traditions of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean in a personal way, combining both traditional and contemporary instruments with a rich range of rhythms and sounds and the polyphonic use of voices. The band’s focus lays on creating its own music singing in Sicilian dialect and mixing the stylistic diversities and strong personalities of the group members. This anthology is the most representative synthesis of Tammorra’s music.
