After residing in Flint, Michigan during his earlier years, he moved and became a permanent resident of Woodbury, Minnesota. He started Cinema in 1985 and in 1993, he founded Black Room Studio, Inc., one of the first rap and hip-hop studio in Minneapolis. He also wrote and directed television commercials and music videos.
