American Country and R&B producer and record company director.
Pierce was the Sales Manager for 4 Star Records (1946-1953). After Leaving 4 Star, he joined Starday Records where he was president (1953-1968). Also in 1953, Pierce founded Hollywood Records (2), a R&B label, that he operated as a side business until he retired. One of the founders and first presidents of the Country Music Association.
