The C.I.A. formed after The Stereo Crew (Ice Cube & Sir Jinx) left Epic Records in 1986. They joined up with their neighborhood friend and MC, Kid Disaster (K-Dee) to form the C.I.A. and release Cru' in Action on Kru-Cut Records in 1987 and breaking out with the hood anthem song My Posse. C.I.A. would later be all be known members in Ice Cube's group The Lench Mob.
