Danish funk-rock band established in 1982 in Brøndbyøster near Copenhagen. Their 1984 debut single
Rap 'N' Scratch sold well in the UK. At this point in time the band consisted of composer and keyboard player
Henrik Carlsen, vocalists
Cæcilie Norby and
Nina Forsberg, saxophone players Michael Andersen and
Niels Macholm, trumpet player Henrik Bech, guitarist
Lasse Riege, bassist Bo Møller, drummer
Kristian Lassen and percussionist Rolf Petersen (2). Late 1984 vocalists Norby and Forsberg left to form
One Two and were replaced by Mia Martinez and Mikael Roupé. The band released their only album
Gaga Jungle Land in 1986 with the lineup of Martinez, Roupé, Carlsen, Riege, Møller, Lassen, Petersen, Macholm and trumpeter
Jan Glæsel. The band remained active with various personnel changes around the nucleus of Carlsen, Møller and Lassen until 1993.
In 2016, Carlsen re-recorded the songs as a solo project and released them as
Street Beat Revisited.
