American jazz percussionist and songwriter, originally from Ardmore, Oklahoma. Harris attended University of North Texas in Denton in the 1980s but left just before graduating in 1988 to join the band at jazz club The Baked Potato in Hollywood, California. She worked as a session and touring musician in Los Angeles for 25 years. As of 2017, she was again living in Oklahoma.
