JP was born in Paris, an only child to a medical family. JP initially studied medicine and then law before moving into the music business. Here he worked on TV and film music before making his first fortune producing and masterminding the worldwide hit “Magic Fly” by Space. In 1980 he moved to London and partnered with
Rusty Egan to co-found [l272511] Music. They went on to purchase the famous Trident Studios, release several records as well as operating the Camden Palace nightclub with
Steve Strange. JP worked in music publishing creating hits with Visage, Soft Cell and Beverley Craven & Roxette and numerous others. He also worked with James Palumbo during the early stages of the establishing of Ministry Of Sound as the major music brand it is today.
