Born in Tokyo. Lives in Yokohama. A writer and a performing artist. She joined Merzbow live unit regularly from 1989 to 1999 performing on electronics and voice and has been abroad widely on it. Now she performs solo on voice and theremin mainly, as well as collaborating with Astro and other artists. Reiko A also plays with Sumihisa Arima in the band Venus In Virgo.
