Tanya Tagaq (1977, Iqaluktuutiaq, Victoria Island, Nunavut, Canada) is an Inuit throat singer. Her two surnames comes from her mother (Tategak) and her father (Gillis). She studied visual arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, where she developed a solo form of throat singing, traditionally performed by two or more singers.
