Born 12 January 1877 in Berlin, Germany and died 21 April 1945 in Berlin-Steglitz, Germany.
In 1902 he accompanied William S. Darby on a recording expedition to Russia for [l75886]; in 1904, he was head of the Gramophone Co.'s Berlin office.
By 1907, he served as a Director for the Favorite Schallplattenfabrik in Hannover, where he signed his matrices with B, a, b, or c. Later, he worked as a recording engineer for [l275192] in Berlin, signing with a handwritten OB that can look like CB.
