British born sitar player Sheema Mukherjee has played classical concerts world wide and has had many television appearances. She has worked, and continues to work, with many western musicians belonging to many different genres. She performs and tours regularly with the global dance band Transglobal Underground, and also supporting Jimmy Page and Robert Plant throughout their European Tour.
She has also composed the music for a documentary called 'The Golden Triangle'.
She tutors in Indian classical music and does workshops, following the ethos of traditional Indian classical music and her forefathers whereby continued discipline, dedication, practice and respect are the main tools for musical expression.
