DEL was formed in 1996 by Kjell Runar Jenssen, Per Gisle Galåen and Lasse Marhaug, later they were joined by Fredrik Ness Sevendal as a 4th member. The idea was to have a band that would obsessivly pursue the goal of reaching the perfect drone. The instrumentation would be based on a core of drums, percussion, guitars and electronics, but over the years the band has incorporated location recordings, cello, theremin, double bass, organ and basically anything they see fit into their soundworld. DEL work in the vague field of psychedelia/noise/lofi/experimental/drone/out rock.
