American (born Boston, Massachusetts, August 5, 1942) record and film producer and label owner who currently lives in London, England.
Graduated from Harvard University in 1964, he has produced Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, and R.E.M., among others. In 1980 he founded the record label Hannibal Records, which he ran for 20 years. He was the former owner of [l381858], and produced the films [m=697120] and Scandal. He has written occasionally for the British publications The Guardian and Independent. The compilation album [m=1303036] is an anthology of his record production work.
