Speculum is a Noise project started by Artist Brian Stuhr in 2002. Over the years many many many back up musicians and artists have backed Brian in various lineups and incarnations of Speculum and have utilized grindcore,death metal,hardcore punk and a melange of experimental noise and other extreme music styles to express Speculums art. More recently Mr Stuhr has taken Speculum back to its roots as a oneman project to avoid drama and coworking with humans in general. Very reclusive and considered a weird nut by many not much is known about Brian and his personal life leaving his audio and visual expressions of violence and insanity to be interpreted in many ways and enabling the Art to speak for itself. An ever evoloving ball of energy existing in the realm of extreme music and outsider art.
