This singer/guitarist is born in Savannah (Tennessee, USA), and was a teenage flute player when she met Gus Nelson (Tav Falco) in Memphis. He dubbed her Lorette Velvette and they played together in Tav Falco's Panther Burns.
She co-founded The Hellcats, and played in Alluring Strange with Misty White.

Now, besides her solo work, she performs with the New York based delta punk band The Kropotkins.
