Swedish bassist, raised in Ås outside Östersund, born March 21, 1955.

He was educated in double bass at the Royal College of Music in the 1970s and has since been an active musician in many music genres. As a freelance musician, Per V. Johansson has played in Monica Törnell New Band and Mikael Råberg's big band and has been a permanent member of Sven-Bertil Taube's Gröna Lundorkester since 1985. Per V. Johansson is part of Trio X, an improvisation group based in Musik i Uppland. Over the years, Trio X has collaborated with a large number of musicians and artists such as Jojje Wadenius, Claes Janson, Mikael Samuelsson, Meta Roos, the brothers Agnas, Dan Laurin, Bengan Janson and Orphei Drängar.
