Dave Markee (born March 1943, Haxey, North Lincolnshire, England) is an English musician, songwriter, guitarist, bass player and producer, as well as pastor, businessman and entrepreneur. Session bassist for artists such as
The Rolling Stones,
Frank Zappa,
Joan Armatrading,
The Who,
Henry Mancini, and
Bing Crosby. He signed on as Eric Clapton's bassist in September 1979 and remained in the band until 1982. He founded the Croydon Jazz Festival in 2006 and serves as the Festival Director. Also senior pastor and worship leader at Folly's End Christian Fellowship. Married to Rosina (Ze) Ethel Markee (born October 1944), life counsellor, coach and church leader.
