Main image

British ballet dancer, singer, songwriter (mostly lyricist) & author.
Born October 13, 1910 in UK.
Died January 24, 2000 in UK.
Married to bandleader Ted Heath (December 16, 1933-November 18, 1969, his death).
Heath appeared in one of the first television transmissions by John Logie Baird on the BBC, and became a prolific lyricist and songwriter. She also wrote songs with her husband using the name Frances Ash, a pseudonym (though not all of the songs they wrote together). Best known song That Lovely Weekend, which she wrote the lyrics for and her husband wrote the music.
She published the book I Haven't Said Thanks: Story of Ted and Moira Heath in 1999, a year before her death.
