American drummer and sometime bassist, originally from Atlanta. Georgia. McNeilly began his musical career in Atlanta with the bands 86 and Phantom 309. In 1989, he moved to Chicago, Illinois and joined noise rock band The Jesus Lizard on drums. He remained with the group until 1996, then rejoined a reunited lineup in 2009.
