440 Hz Trio

Originally a jazz trio from Hamburg, Germany, founded by Richard von der Schulenburg, Olve Strelow and John Raphael Burgess in 2005. Recorded two album with Jacques Palminger in 2012 and 2016, permanently adding vibraphonist Jan Heinemann to the group in 2014. Heinemann left the band in 2020. As of 2024, the band is known as 440 Hertz, with Lydia Schmidt (vocals, organ) and Lieven Brunckhorst (flute, saxophone) as permanent members. Friedrich Paravicini (strings) and Carsten Erobique Meyer (keys) have been regular collaborators with the group.
