Nils Stevenson

Manager. Born in London 23 February 1953; died London 20 September 2002. He first came to prominence working with Malcolm McLaren and Sex Pistols in 1976 helping manage the band. He then went on to manage Siouxsie & The Banshees until 1982. Stevenson then resumed his working relationship with Malcolm McLaren, helping him create the [m=68613] album. He later managed World's Famous Supreme Team and also promoted the careers of Neneh Cherry and the dance outfit Electribe 101.

In 2002 Stevenson started his own [l9226] label and helped the film-maker and Clash associate Don Letts assemble the [M=195396] reggae collection. He also compiled an album, [m=937104] with a book of the same title by Stephen Colegrave and Chris Sullivan. He is the brother of photographer Ray Stevenson.
