American jazz and pop vocalist, who performed with various orchestras in the 1930s and 1940s, including those of Artie Shaw, Charlie Barnet, Rudy Vallee, and Clem Williams. She also performed as Nita Cort early in her career.
She was married to drummer Cliff Leeman.
