Buffin was the nickname of
Dale Griffin (born 24 October 1948, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England - died 17 January 2016, Brecon, Powys, Wales) who was an English drummer and founding member of the 1970’s rock band, [A=Mott The Hoople].
He continued with
Overend Watts and
Morgan Fisher in the Mott successor
British Lions until their demise in around 1978. During the 1980’s, Griffin produced albums for a number of artists including
Hanoi Rocks,
The Cult,
Bauhaus,
New Model Army and the
Department S hit, ’Is Vic There?’. He is credited solely as ’Buffin’ on many of these releases. His death was Alzheimer’s related.
