Music business executive. Born in Philadelphia. in the 1950's, after serving as head of A&R for Okeh Records, he was head of A&R for RCA's R&B division. He then founded his own production / music publishing company: [l1462814], and acquired ownership interests in [l627891] and [l364795]. In 1959, he co-founded [l31439]. with
Murray Sporn. In 1960 he divested himself of these interests and joined Leiber & Stollers' production company and in 1963 left, reactivated Kryden and returned to Seville to work with
Edward Kassner. In 1970 he and songwriter formed [l988358]. And, in 1979 formed [l91568] with
Clancy B. Grass III: the two would be business partners for the next several decades.
