Coleman charted once as a performer in the U.S. and seventeen times in the U.S. & U.K. as a songwriter. Chloe, a funky disco instrumental cracked the U.S. charts at #29 on the adult contemporary chart. His top written songs included If My Friends Could See Me Now by Linda Clifford, which hit #1 in the U.S. Dance, #68 R&B, and #50 in the U.K. in 1978 and The Autumn Waltz by Tony Bennett, which hit #18 in 1956 (co-written by Bob Hilliard).
