Burning Inside were a technical death metal band, originally from Springfield, Missouri.

Formed in 1995 by Steve Childers and Richard Christy following the dissolution of Public Assassin, and rounded out by vocalist/bassist Jamie Prim and guitarist, Michael Estes, they relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1996.
The band was fairly active in Florida, but soon found themselves playing less often following Richard's success with Death and Iced Earth, Mike with Acheron, and Steve with Black Witchery.

Following Richard's relocation to New York, as a member of Howard Stern's radio show, the band became dormant.
Following a self-released EP, in 2007, the band called it a day.
