As an independent producer Blume has recorded Carolyn Hester, the The Great Metropolitan Steam Band, Osmosis and Charlie Mariano among others. As an author he co-wrote The Cyrkle hit Turn-Down Day as well as songs recorded by Ed Ames, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Wilburn Brothers, John Simon, Maria Dallas, Martie Shannon, Freddie McCoy, the Young Americans and others.
