Sommer Trella is a Chicago-born singer and songwriter who got her start in the music industry as a Chicago house music artist. While working at Hot Jam Records in Chicago, she collaborated with her co-worker, Mazi Namvar (aka Studio Nova). They released a song through the French label Fiat Lux called The Music's All I Know in 1999, with remixes by Johnny Fiasco and Paul Johnson. The following year, she collaborated with her friend and co-worker, Jonathan Monteiro (aka DJ Motion). They released a song called Crazy Drum on Gaia Records in 2000, with remixes by Mazi Namvar and Paul Johnson. Crazy Drum was re-released on UK label Shaboom Records in June of that same year. Sommer then worked as a co-writer and as a vocalist with her close friend, famous DJ, artist, record label owner, producer, and house music legend, Paul Johnson. Their duet, Give Me All Your Love, came out on Nocturnal Interludes in 2001.

After taking a break from the house music industry to pursue other musical interests and a teaching career, Sommer collaborated with long time Chicago DJ, record label owner, producer, musician, and friend, Mazi Namvar (aka Audio Soul Project). They released The Music's All I Know on Fresh Meat Records in 2025.
