Drummer and composer.

Born in Hull, Québec Canada. Son of jazz saxophonist Al-Hajj Sayyd Abdul Al-Khabyyr. Nasyr played with the Oliver Jones Trio and Dizzy Gillespie. (Both father and son can be seen in 1988 documentary A Night in Havana: Dizzy Gillespie in Cuba.)

Al_Khabyyr is a member of the music faculties at Vanier College & Concordia University in Montréal as well as being the operator of Nasyrium Drum Camp, the subject of documentary A Drummers Dream.
