American saxophonist, organist (on I Feel Good), arranger, composer who worked with James Brown since 1964 as director of The James Brown Band. Owner of the publisher Najam Music. Born April 27, 1939 - Died January 24, 2014, at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, N.C.
