Clarence Holiday (born July 23, 1898, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - died March 1, 1937, Dallas, Texas, USA) was an American banjoist and rhythm guitarist who recorded with many jazz swing musicians. He is the father of jazz singer Billie Holiday. He never married Billie’s mother and apparently was not too happy about having to admit that he had a daughter.
