He oversaw many disco-oriented projects for the Kudu label. As a lyricist, he co-wrote many songs with arranger/producer David Matthews. His biggest hit was Could Heaven Ever Be Like This, composed for Idris Muhammad's album Turn This Mutha Out. He also supervised Esther Phillips' What A Difference A Day Makes.
