American A&R executive and producer.
He start his career as radio dee jay in local stations (WKSR, WBMC and WKDA).
He join the publishing company [l580612] in 1965, initially as arranger and, from 1967, as record executive. In late 60s started his collaboration with
Snuff Garrett and he was hired as A&R executive at [l654]. Ashworth was heavily involved with
J.J. Cale’s first eight albums production, essentially becoming his manager as well. In 1976, he named his own recording studio [l321019].
