Swedish musician (piano), arranger and producer, born August 21, 1945 in Jönköping, Sweden.
For many decades, Sjöholm had an important part in Swedish popular music, providing (orchestral) arrangements for many of the nationally well-known Swedish artists for almost 40 years, and also as an artist in the Christian group,
Christallen, which he formed in the mid 1960s. He was later also a co-founder of
New Creation in 1969.
He has worked with artists like
Kikki Danielsson,
Carola Häggkvist,
Lisa Nilsson,
Christer Sjögren,
Tommy Körberg,
Sanna Nielsen,
Jan Malmsjö,
Pelle Karlsson,
Arja Saijonmaa and others.
As an arranger and producer, Lennart Sjöholm has received more than 100 gold and platinum records. For a record with
Andraé Crouch, he also received a Grammy Award in USA.
In 2011, he began working again with the artist
Ingamay Hörnberg, whose records he earlier was a producer for. This time they gave concerts together in aid of
Felix Family Villages in many countries.
