In 1974, Larry Marc-Aurele and Kenny Simmons co-founded Daybreak a top 40 and original band, playing the tri-state area and touring the east coast. Jazz, disco, pop, and funk were all styles mastered by this group. In 1980, Daybreak’s ‘Everybody Get Off’ reached # 65 on Billboard’s Top 100 soul charts.
The original members of the band were: Kenny Simmons- Lead Vocals, Joe Lafragola - Guitar and Vocals, Marc Madi - Drums, Larry Marc - Percussion, Ernie Angrisano- Bass and Vocals
