Hardcore punk musician originally from Connecticut where he got his start as the drummer for
Violent Children and singer for
Youth of Today. Co-founder of Revelation Records in 1987, which amongst others released bands like
Gorilla Biscuits and Sick of it All. Eventually breaking away from Revelation, Cappo converted his straight edge ideals into a more religious-based following in Hare Krishna (more formally known as Gaudiya Vaishnavism). Following this new path, he founded a new band
Shelter and record label Equal Vision Records both focused on promoting the teachings and practices of the Krishnas. In the late 90s he also formed band Better Than A Thousand. He is currently a yoga teacher, podcaster, raw food diet promoter, and occasionally involved with band reunion shows.
