Swedish/Norwegian composer, born Maj Lundén in Sollefteå, Sweden on September 9th 1917, and died in Oslo on March 14th 1996.

She composed music for film, tv, radioplays; both on her own and in collaboration with her husband Gunnar Sønstevold. She also composed orchestral and chamber music, as well as teaching composition privately.

She was married to Norwegian composer Gunnar Sønstevold.
