Ryu Goto (b. 13 July 1988) is a Japanese-American violinist from New York City, half-brother of renowned Midori. At age seven, trained solely by his mother, Goto debuted with Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1 at [l1804754] in Sapporo, Japan. In the mid-2000s, Ryu Goto attended [l959262]'s Pre-College Division for two years, studying under Stefan Milenković. Instead of pursuing further musical education, however, the young violinist attended [l350923], majoring in Physics. In 2005, Deutsche Grammophon signed Ryu. The violinist plays on 1722 'Jupiter, ex-Goding' Stradivarius, on loan from Nippon Music Foundation.
