The team was founded in 1981 as the Chamber Choir of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic. It became the first professional academic choral group from the Urals to the Far East.
Until 1986, the choir was headed by its founder, Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR Boris Pevzner / Борис Певзнер, and from 1986 to this day, the artistic director and chief conductor of the chapel is People's Artist of Russia Igor Judin / Игорь Юдин.

The creative biography of the band is rich in tours across Russia and the republics of the former USSR, performances in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, participation in numerous major festivals. The choir's repertoire includes both ancient chants and modern compositions of various styles, folklore, song-romance and jazz programs.
In 2016, the Chamber Choir was transformed into the Novosibirsk Choir Chapel.
