Started at the age of 8 studying drums and turned pro at the age of 12 playing with his father's group at times. Attended Ada Lewis Middle School in Philadelphia where he met Cedric Napolean and James Lloyd who later became Pieces of a Dream.
Trained in Latin and African percussion and does background vocals. Recorded with Grover Washington, Jr. and Regina Belle.
