American trombonist, composer and arranger.

He worked with Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Milt Jackson, Duke Ellington, Tommy Flanagan and as a member of The Jazztet. He was also one of the founding members of the New York Jazz Sextet.
In 1969, McIntosh moved to Hollywood to pursue a career composing film music working intermittently in this field and as a music director in the industry for 20 years before returning to New York in the 1990's.
