American trombonist, composer and arranger. Born February 6, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA Died July 26, 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA He worked with Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Milt Jackson, Duke Ellington, Tommy Flanagan and as a member of The Jazztet. He was also one of the founding members of the New York Jazz Sextet. In 1969, McIntosh moved to Hollywood to pursue a career composing film music working intermittently in this field and as a music director in the industry for 20 years before returning to New York in the 1990's.
