Siegrid was born on May 22, 1944 in Bremen, Germany, daughter of Walter L. and Annegrete M. (Wolf) Knapp.
She arrived in the United States in 1951, and was naturalized in 1956.
She was Tony Visconti's first wife.
After her singing career, she was later an interior designer.
