Warm Jets was a British indie rock band formed in 1995 by Ed Grimshaw (drums and keyboards), Louis Jones (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards; formerly of The Fontaines and TV Eye), and Paul Noble (guitar and keyboards; formerly of Eat and TV Eye) and signed to [l8377]' faux-indie sublabel [l33620] in early 1996. The band had a couple of different bass guitarists during their brief existence, most notably Colleen Browne (formerly of The Parachute Men, The Heart Throbs, and Pale Saints), who appears on most of their recordings. The group’s name is derived from the title of Brian Eno’s 1973 debut solo album.

After the release of their self-titled debut EP, the band received some positive press and played some prestigious support slots and festival appearances, including an arena tour with Blur, and the [l15335]' annual tour of up and coming bands in early 1998. Their only album, Future Signs, was released in 1998 and contained their two UK Top 40 hits, “Never Never” and “Hurricane”.

The band had some brief tabloid fame when Jones had a relationship with DJ Zoe Ball. They were also often namechecked by comedian Paul Kaye under his famed Dennis Pennis alter ego (Kaye had been the frontman for Jones and Noble's previous group, the short-lived TV Eye). Soon after a moderately-successful tour in 1998, Paul Noble departed from the band. The remaining members then recruited former Strangelove and The Blue Aeroplanes guitarist Alex Lee as a temporary replacement, but from that point onwards, very little was heard of the band’s further activities. After receiving notice from Island that they were being dropped by the label, the group decided to quietly disband. Browne went on to play briefly with Rialto and White Hotel, and Grimshaw later joined Quickspace and The Cesarians. Noble has since become a session musician and has appeared on recordings by artists such as David Holmes and Robyn Hitchcock.
