Southern Comfort were a vocal group that included Jeanie Greene, Mary Holladay Pederson, Susan Coleman Pilkington, Ginger Holloday, and Donna Thatcher Godchaux McKay.
The group released one single and provided backing vocals on a number of other recordings.
The members of the group provided backing vocals on many recordings but only on a few of these were they credited as Southern Comfort. Only recordings on which the backing vocals are definitely credited to Southern Comfort are listed below.
Southern Comfort were the vocal backing group that backed Elvis Presley at American Sound Studios, and Stax Studio from 1969 - 1974. They can be heard on great Elvis hits like Suspicious Minds, Kentucky Rain, and In The Ghetto, just to name a few.
